Desk in Chrome: privacy policy
Desk in Chrome is a Chrome extension made by Confido Health, Inc. for people who use Confido Desk at work. It lets the
Desk sessions you drive work in tab groups of their own in your Chrome. This page says what it handles and where that goes.
Confido's privacy policy covers everything else.
What it handles
- Your sign-in. When you sign in with your careOS login, Desk gives the extension a token, which it keeps in
Chrome's storage on your computer. Your password never reaches the extension.
- The tabs in Desk's own tab groups. When one of your Desk sessions asks, the extension reads a tab in that
session's group (the page's text and source, a screenshot, its network requests and console messages) and clicks or
types in it. It never reads or changes a tab outside those groups. A tab is in one only when the extension opened it
there or you dragged it in.
Where it goes
Only to Confido Desk, over HTTPS, as the answer to your session's request. There it becomes part of that Desk session,
kept and protected like the rest of it, and seen by the people who can see that session. The extension sends nothing
anywhere else. Confido does not sell this data, use it for advertising, or use it for anything but the work your
sessions do for you.
Your controls
- Close a tab group, or drag a tab out of it, and no session can use it.
- Sign out in the extension, or Disconnect Desk in Chrome in Desk's Settings, and it stops working at once.
- Remove the extension from Chrome to delete what it keeps on your computer.
Questions: ask your Confido Desk administrator.
